About TFM

The Fishing Museum
The Fishing Museum is a Pacific Marinelife Institute initiative to be housed principally online and exhibit fishing's past and living history from Australia and around the Pacific. The Fishing Museum will preserve the achievements, stories, memories and memorabilia of the people, places, boats, events, fish and organisations that are part of our fishing history. Part of The Sportfish Project, the Fishing Museum will play an important role in improving the knowledge needed to support fishery research projects and management.

The Fishing Museum Blog
This blog will preview each week some of the history contained within The Fishing Museum archives. Weekly updates will include profiles on the people, places, boats, fish, events and organisations that have been part of fishing. Plus a weekly gallery update will feature a collection of photos from the archive.
